Keep the FAITH in the DARKEST TIMES!

light

Ok, so, Joseph had a supernatural encounter with God, the real deal!

He get’s mugged by his own brothers and thrown into a pit.
He then is sold into slavery.
He is on his own, no family, no friends, no normal environment.
He is then sold again into Potiphar’s house.

What did Joseph do?
He kept the faith, relied upon his God, didn’t give up, didn’t blame God, didn’t get bitter
BECAUSE HE KEPT THE FAITH, he was blessed, prospered, rose in authority, received favor.

GLORY TO GOD, EVERYTHING IS ON THE UPSWING! The recession is over!! Everything is looking better, whewwwwwww!

ummmm, hang on..

Gen. 39:7-8, 12, 17 / FALSE ACCUSATIONS
Potiphar’s wife wanted Joseph, but he would not have sex with her, so, she got mad and said he tried to rape her. Who is a husband going to believe? Can you imagine Joseph’s emotions?
God!! Where are you??
This is not true, I didn’t do it, I was doing right and NOW THIS!
Joseph was being blessed even in the midst of his great loss of everything he knew. NOW, it gets worse!

Gen. 39:20-21 Joseph was not just a sold into slavery, now he is thrown into prison!
Hello God?
Where are you?
I thought that day you spoke to me everything was going to be perfect and it would all go my way. Now look, I want nothing to do with you!
This church stuff doesn’t work, this faith, this Bible junk isn’t working for me, I’m outta here!

Gen. 39:21, 23
This was not the heart of Joseph, he kept the faith, trust and relationship even though it didn’t make sense, even though it looked bad, he never took his eyes off his relationship with God.

Because of this – God didn’t take him out, He took Joseph through with blessing, favor and prosperity.

REMEMBER- HE IS IN PRISON!

Gen. 40 Pharaoh’s butler and baker were thrown in prison. They both had dreams. One would be killed, and the other restored.
Joseph supernaturally interpreted the dreams!
Don’t forget me when you get restored butler.

2 years later, not an hour, not a week, not a month, not a year, 2 years later, he is remembered.

How many would give up if they had to wait 2 years for their answer? Joseph kept the faith, he did not give up, he never lost trust. That doesn’t mean at times he did not wonder, but he did not allow the flesh to win and drive him away from God.

EVERYONE LIKES THE PART OF SAVING EVERYONE – BUT – IF JOSEPH HAD NOT KEPT FAITH FOR VICTORY YOU AND I WOULD NOT BE SAVED.
If you don’t keep the faith and victory, how many will not be saved?
