1 Timothy 4:14
Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

If you are a Christian, you are a leader.  All Christians are called to lead. Leaders light up darkness and they pave the way. Great leaders learn to use the gifts that God has supplied to them. In the same way, they are to be brokers of gifts to other people.

Learn to identify God given gifts in others and begin to extract them out. Learn to magnify those gifts and quickly they will become evident in their lives.

Love draws those gifts out.  You will never gain the hearts of people with force, but contrary to that, your love will reel them in. When you gain the heart of a person they will trust you and open up to your coaching and your leading. That’s just plain wisdom.  You can demand certain things if you are in the position of a leader or as a boss,  however capturing the hearts of people, drawing their gifts out, and discovering their potential is what Jesus wants from you.  It is what He demonstrated with His own life.

I want my life to have eternal value in this year of loving people. I’m sure you do too.  There is only one way! Walk in your calling that was established when you gave your life to Jesus Christ.  Capture the hearts of the people that God has you with today.  Use your gifts to lift them up and draw them out. Be a broker of gifts and watch what it does.  I challenge you to do this today and not tomorrow. Those people are depending on you today. Don’t wait!  Be a leader, use your gifts, and change lives. That’s eternal value in the year of loving people.
