Gal. 6:1, Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.
His Tabernacle is a house of mercy and grace. Jesus declares that this must be the case with the church. Every one of us was brought up from the depths of sin by a loving and merciful God!
Paul said this,”Hate what is evil, and cling to what is good.”
God loves everyone regardless of their situations or their sin, and He always holds out opportunity for the person. He delivered the final blow to evil because of His love for the person! Praise Jesus!
Are we sometimes offended by those who live in perpetual sin without repentance. We must always remember that God doesn’t need us to defend Him. When we have our eyes on God and our hearts fixed on Him we won’t be offended by the person, but instead we will cling to the good in that person. Hate what is evil, the sin, but cling to what is good, the person that Jesus gave himself for.
Always remember what God brought us out of and delivered us from. We could have easily offended those who were “religious” and didn’t look through the eyes of Jesus. If you have ever experienced this thinking, please begin to pray right now, for the eyes and the ability to see others as Christ does. Pray that God removes your religious thinking and beliefs and replaces it with a genuine love and concern for those that He loves.
The challenge for today is to identify a person that you wouldn’t normally choose to love and invest in. Begin to show love and care to this person. This will have a huge impact on both of you and it will change your thoughts and mind sets forever. You will experience transformation from that old religious thinking, and change other lives in the process. If you do this once, the Holy Spirit will get excited in you, and you will do it again, and again, and again, until finally you are looking through the eyes of Christ and seeing what He sees.
Remember hate what is evil and cling to what is good. Don’t repay evil with evil. You are the light in a world of darkness, so shine on!
