Mind Your OWN Business!

There is one thing that we all do every single day of our lives.  It is a must!  Something we could not get away from even if we desired to.
Our entire lives are made up of JUDGMENTS.

When we drive down the road we make a judgement call which route to take.  Do I pass or not to pass on the highway?

We have to make decisions which are generated by……judgements.

The act of judging allows us to make proper choices in our lives.
The problem occurs when we step over our boundries.
Judging others is where we must walk with much grace and mercy.

Matt. 7:1-5, Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Judge– try or condemn
Speck – twig, straw, particle of dust
Plank – wooden beam
Hypocrite – stage player, actor

** The real reason people sit back and gossip and pass negative judgements is the grass root called pride.**

One of the greatest relief’s that I have ever had as a Pastor was when I realized that I was not the Holy Spirit.

a.) John 16:8 “And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
b.) It is the Spirit’s job to convict and convince men of sin.
c.) Will the real Holy Spirit please stand up!!
d.) This becomes a relief for us, because then we can start to deal with ourselves instead of dabbling in other’s lives.

God is the only one who can judge the hearts of man.

3 Reasons we cannot judge others.

a.) We never know all the facts or circumstances of the individual.
b.) It is almost impossible to be totally impartial (our background, uprearing).
c.) No man is good enough to judge another (Matt 19:17).

Instead of trying to judge another person today, JUDGE YOURSELF.  That should be scarey enough for every one of us!!
