Spiritual Starvation pt. 1

let me explain.

The Word of God is food for our spirit.
Some believers don’t seem to realize that we really do need to feed our spirit, similar to how we need to feed our physical bodies.
In view of this reality, some believers feed their spirit very poorly,
and very inconsistently. For that reason there are too many believers that are basically “spiritually weak” “spiritually unhealthy” – shaky, unreliable, easily defeated, discouraged…..the list goes on.

Too many believers seem to live a “starved” lifestyle
when it comes to God’s Word. Yet, when it comes to God’s Word,
you should NEVER be starved.

Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. (Psalms 119:105 NKJV)
Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me. (Psalms 119:133 NKJV)
Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. (Psalms 119:11 NKJV).
Hearing is NOT enough…. Studies suggest that three days after an event people retain only 10% of what they heard.. And 35% from what they read.. 65% if they heard and read..When we bring it from not hearing only but memorizing its now 100%….
When God speaks (the Word is God John 1:1…. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.), When God speaks things change. Everything around you — all of creation — exists because “God said it.” He spoke it all into existence.
God’s Word generates life, creates faith, produces change, frightens the Devil, causes miracles, heals hurts, builds character, transforms circumstances, imparts joy, overcomes adversity, defeats temptation, infuses hope, releases power, cleanses our minds, brings things into being, and guarantees our future forever! We cannot live without the Word of God! You should consider it as essential to your life as food.
