Keep the Dog in the Corner

Mark 16:17-18, And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons…

Oppression can happen to a Christian or a non Christian, BUT, the great part about being born again is that you have complete authority over that oppressive spirit and it has to leave when you exercise that right.

John 8:36, So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

If you struggled with a certain sin or an oppressive spirit from the past, or from your family’s past, we must understand that a demon is much like a dog.  Dogs do what they are told, unless they feel they can get away with something.

EXAMPLE: Say you have struggled with the spirit of fear (2 Tim. 1:7)

You are a Christian, yet fear is gripping your life so much that now you are being controlled by that fear.

You take authority over it and cast it off in the name of Jesus.

Many think that is where it all stops….

That demon is like a dog – it has to go to the corner in Jesus name, but it is waiting there for you to drop your guard.

Pay attention – if you drop your guard, or get too comfortable, they will try to sneak back into your life.

KEEP THE DOG IN THE CORNER

Do not play with the sin that so easily tripped you up.

Do not give a foothold to the devil!

If you struggled with alcohol, do not go to the bar.  If you struggled with fear, you do not watch scary movies.  If you struggled with porn, you might need to not go on your computer.

Be careful little mouth what you say, do not invite that spirit to come out of the corner!

Keep the dog in the corner!!
