YOU ARE NOT STUCK pt. 2

One of the worst things to feel is the lack of HOPE!

When there is no hope then the devil comes through that door, and starts seeding death.

God is not the One who is the killer.

John 10:10

Jesus came to bring HOPE, JOY, PEACE, STRENGTH, SALVATION, HEALING, FREEDOM!

John 21:3-9

Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing.”

“We’ll come, too,” they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night. At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn’t see who he was. He called out, “Fellows, have you caught any fish?” “No,” they replied. Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some!” So they did, and they couldn’t haul in the net because there were so many fish in it.Then the disciple Jesus loved said to Peter, “It’s the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his tunic (for he had stripped for work), jumped into the water, and headed to shore. The others stayed with the boat and pulled the loaded net to the shore, for they were only about a hundred yards from shore. When they got there, they found breakfast waiting for them—fish cooking over a charcoal fire, and some bread.

The disciples walked with JESUS for 3 years, and gave up everything to obey and become fishers of men!  They knew Jesus was the Messiah!  He opened blind eyes, deaf ears, and even raised the dead.  THEN, He died on the tree, crucified.  The disciples were confused, thinking that Jesus was coming to build an earthly kingdom, now He is dead.  After 3 days Jesus is raised from the dead, and He even appears to them (the doubting Thomas moment).  Jesus didn’t stay, He disappeared again!

WHERE ARE YOU JESUS?  I GAVE UP EVERYTHING FOR YOU, AND NOW I CANNOT SEE YOU, FEEL YOU, WHERE ARE YOU?

Have you ever said that?

Peter simply said, “I’m going fishing”, and the rest of the disciples said, “We’ll come too.”

PEOPLE WHO LOSE HOPE, GO BACK TO WHAT THEY CAME OUT OF.  Why go back?  You left there for a reason, because there was not a life there that you really wanted, yet people who seem to lose hope head back to their old life.  It is what they think they can control.

After fishing ALL night, they caught NOTHING!  Hopeless, tired, fishless, ready to simply go home, the disciples saw a man standing on the bank of the shore.

DID YOU GET WHAT YOU WERE LOOKING FOR FROM THE OLD LIFE GUYS (did you catch any fish)?  They retorted, “NO!” Jesus said, “Throw your nets to the other side.”  Jesus is never far away, and when you need Him He is there.  JESUS IS THE ANSWER, not the old life!

STOP GOING BACK AND DABBLING WITH THE OLD LIFE WHEN YOU GET DISCOURAGED AND WHEN YOU FEEL HOPELESS. Call to Him! Jesus is always close.
