When Is God Ticked OFF?in

What a tremendous weekend at His Tabernacle Family Church!

There were 47 people that gave their hearts to Jesus over the weekend with REVIVAL IN THE COURTS, and then yesterday 5 more people were snatched from Satan’s claws.  That deserves a SHOUT for our awesome God!!

Zeph. 1:6, And I will destroy those who used to worship me but now no longer do. They no longer ask for the Lord’s guidance or seek my blessings.”

Ted Shuttlesworth Jr. preached on this Word yesterday in the first service.  He was showing that God was declaring that He was TICKED off and was going to take action against the children of Israel.

WHY WAS HE SO TICKED OFF?

God was upset over 3 specific things.

1) They no longer worship Me.  My people no longer take the time to worship who I am.  They go along their day, and simply ignore Me.  I am no longer an important part of My people’s lives.  John 4:23-24, But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. 24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

2) They no longer ask for My guidance.  The Lord recognized that He was no longer their Lord.  He was dislodged from Kingship in their lives, individually and corporately.  The children of God no longer wanted His direction, just His salvation.  Prov. 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

3) They no longer seek after My blessing.  The children no longer desired, or looked to God for His blessing.  As a parent we want and love to bless our babies, and God the Father loves to do the same thing.  This is showing total independence from God.  It is sad when the Creator of the entire universe longs to bless, but the people no longer want, or desire anything from Him. God wants to bless us!  He longs to bless us!  Seek Him first, and He will bless you!  Ps. 35:27, Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”

Our initial thought is, “I thought He would be mad at the sin thing.”

YES!

What we are seeing here really is one sin, it is the sin of taking God from utmost importance in our lives, and relegating Him to wanting Him when we need something.

God is a jealous God!

Worship Him, be guided by Him, and seek His blessings!
