Gal. 5:14

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LOVE YOURSELF?

It means we have to start believing that we are who Daddy says we are!
If our Daddy loves us, who are we to not like or love ourselves?
If we are worthless after salvation then we are saying that Father is bad at being a Dad
Eph. 2:10, For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

It comes down to WORTH
John 3:16 – You are of GREAT worth

WE must see ourselves through the eyes of our Daddy
Good dads speak life and purpose to their babies
Good dads speak great worth to their children
DADDY in heaven sees the GREAT WORTH and PURPOSE in you! You are worth it all…..EVERYTHING TO HIM

You are NEW and before your Daddy in heaven, you are HIS precious child.

Stop talking down to yourself! You are the child of the KING!!!!!

THE SIN OF PRIDE

Most individuals think that the easiest thing to fall for is PRIDE.
Pride is thinking you are something that you are NOT!

Pride comes before the fall….
Don’t think of yourself more highly than you ought….

These verses are TRUTH, and pride can be a real problem, but since I have come into the ministry this is not the most powerful tool of the enemy that keeps people from the harvest fields.

THE GREATEST WEAPON I HAVE SEEN SATAN USE against the church Is that people do not love themselves, or believe who Daddy says that they are….

THE PLOY OF WORTHLESSNESS

We as the body of Christ can grasp that we have to love our Father with all our hearts, body, soul and strength. We are good with that, and at times struggle with the love of the world, but still really understand that Jesus must be first to please God.

The second part of the verse begins with loving our neighbors… we are good with that too!

There is a small part in that same verse that must happen before we can really love others. WE MUST LEARN TO LOVE OURSELVES, OR WE CANNOT LOVE THOSE WHO WE ARE CALLED TO REACH FOR CHRIST.

The world declares that only a few are special
The experiences of rejection from the past make us feel worthless.
Some parents might have said that you were worthless
I have even heard some pastors says that people are worthless.
Our own minds tells us that we are worthless.

WITHOUT WORTH, THERE IS NO CARE, PURPOSE OR DESIGN
Surviving is the only real design for the day.
I just want to make it!

SATAN KNOWS if he can make you feel worthless, then we will never love others, and then you will not find design or purpose, and those individuals you were called to reach will die in their sin because the one being sent has no CARE FOR THEMSELVES OR ANYONE ELSE.

Satan never plays fair or in the face, he is sneaky!

Say this out loud, “I am a King’s child, I have great worth, and great value. I have been purposed, and the Father planned me before He even created this earth. I am SPECIAL.”

Sometimes the simplest things are the easiest to forget or overlook, there is only one reason why Father God does anything……LOVE

1 John 4:9-10, In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
John 3:16, For God so LOVED the world……

From the Garden, to today, the passion of our Father, our Daddy, is YOU!

You are the reason He created the heavens and earth
You are the reason that He sent His Son to die
You are the reason that there is a Church

YOU ARE THE MOTIVATION, HE LOVES YOU!!

FATHER LOVES HIS BABIES

You maybe have seen, or experienced when one of your children have made poor decisions, and you strive to grab them, to protect them, to correct them, but they REJECT you. Your heart sinks, no matter how big a man or woman, when your own babies reject your love, it strikes deep.

Yet, you cannot give up!

You love them even in their foolishness, praying they will come around
Your heart is crushed, yet you cannot give up hope.
You continue to reach out, even though they constantly repel you as if you have only caused them harm.

THERE IS A DESPERATION, AND YOU WILL DO WHATEVER NEEDS TO BE DONE TO RESTORE THAT RELATIONSHIP!

John 15:13, Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

There is no one that LOVES you more than Father
His love is UNCONDITIONAL

He cannot love you any more today than after you have been saved for 50 years. He loves you no more today than the drug addicted pimp. He loves us no matter what

He not only loves us, He never gives up on us!

James 3:5-6
Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.
See how great a forest a little fire kindles! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.

Oh be careful little mouth what you say…….. For the Father up above, is looking down in love, Oh be careful little mouth what you say.

A cute song from our childhood Sunday School days, but so, so, so true!

Each one of us carry a level of influence with the people who surround us every day. The danger is when we carelessly speak about our thoughts and feelings out loud. Without meaning to hurt, without meaning to impart a negative influence away from Christ, words literally steer people’s lives.

I have seen people who were fine, had no issues, after hearing someone steer with words, now see the picture totally different. With words I have watched people who were baby Christians walk away from their faith, or take on someone else’s offense.

Proverbs 29:11
A fool vents all his feelings,
But a wise man holds them back.

In the multitude of words sin is not lacking,
But he who restrains his lips is wise.

James 1:19
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;

Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Wow! What an amazing series in the Word of God on how we can live in the higher law of heaven, rather than be tethered to hope so’s, luck and oh no’s.

We as sons and daughter’s of God, called to live in VICTORY, and our victory comes as we know how to handle the situations of real life with real solutions, rather than be governed by the worlds system.

1 JOHN 5:4
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

MATT. 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

If you are going to see results from the Kingdom, then we must choose to live in the Kingdom reality of receiving. Each day we are subject to the world, life, but Jesus gave us this higher law as His family to live greater.

Most people don’t receive anything from the Lord because He is not FIRST in their lives.

Most Christians seek so many other answers beside what God has for them in the Kingdom.

God is not their SOURCE in relationships, health, finances, daily living.

When we choose to make all these other sources options first, then we are disconnected the Law of Life in Christ Jesus, and grasping the law of sin and death.

Romans 14:23, whatever is not of faith, is sin.
Sin?
The sin of not believing that His Word is true, and that He is God, and able to do anything.

Go to Him first today, make Jesus your #1 Source. This is the first step in living in the Law of Christ

Today is so very important for understanding how to take the Word off the written page (logos), and make it alive and applicable (rhema).

Don’t steal from yourself the living, preached, spoken Word (Seed) of heaven.

2 TIMOTHY 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

When the REAL situation comes upon your life, and FEAR strives to control, what do you do?

First thing
Arrest your thoughts
Your mind begins to be consumed with the thoughts and “what if’s”. The moment the “what if’s” are allowed to chase every thought out, you are headed for prison.

2 Cor. 10:3-5, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
b. Go to the Source of help

Jesus is our Source in our lives.
1. Not money
2. Not people
3. Not drugs, alcohol

What does the WORD say about my situation?
Phil. 4:6-8, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Let the WORD work in your life!!

Get Godly counsel

Don’t go and share you situation with just anyone, even if they are a Christian!
Ps. 1:1, Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

The ungodly have no hope, they have no faith, they are only short sighted.

PRAY!

James 1 – pray for wisdom
Why waste time in fear when fear has no positive result?
Take that time of worry and dedicate it to prayer and the Word. You will find faith rise and doubt scatter.

Take AUTHORITY over fear!

IN UNCERTAIN TIMES, FEAR WILL COME

Many Christians have been taught incorrect.
They have been taught that everything is FROM God, so you have to accept everything that happens as good.
That if you ignore the problem, DENY the problem and it will leave.

Neither are true

We live in a real world, where it is not stable!
We are the world’s stability, and preserver (salt & light), and without the believer’s, God’s church, it would be catastrophic!

The situation that causes the fear is real, but we have two choices

Look with the perception of the world, or look at the big picture

i. The perception of the world is short sighted
ii. The perception of the Kingdom, is long term, eternal

Fear is always going to try to GRIP you, but when the thoughts come, you do not have to become a servant to them.

Speak to those fears right out loud – in the name of Jesus, you have no right in my mind and emotions..GET OUT!
Then every time fear tries to return, speak to it, then feed on the faith of the Word!!

We live in UNCERTAIN times!

The world is spinning around so quickly and people are facing real problems that have them frozen with fear.

Will my family make it?

Will I keep my job?

Will I die of a sickness?

2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

FEAR IS A REAL TORMENTOR, AND IS NEVER FROM GOD!!!!!

I John 4:18, There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Life is filled with things that we cannot control

When we cannot control things we can begin to dwell on them
When we dwell on them it can turn into fear when we cannot control them
Fear parylizes us
Fear turns into phobia with then completely controls our lives

We are then in prison

Life is filled with ups and downs.
Sometimes everything is going perfect and there are no difficulties in our lives
Other times we are facing real issues that can throw us into a fear factor, mind controlling, mind tormenting moment of pure panic and fear!

Fear that is fed drags us to the lower levels of our hearts and hope

Faith is the knowing that you are not alone
That is if God is for you , who can be against you
That you can do all things through Christ

You do not have to be controlled by fear!
Even in the difficult times, you can exercise faith in God and know that He will get you out!!

FEAR is the enemy of FAITH!

WHAT IS BITTERNESS

Bitterness is grown up unforgiveness

When a person does not forgive someone, it grows DOWN into bitterness. Why do I say DOWN?

Hebrews 12:14-15, Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: 15looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

A root begins to form, and that root starts to grow deep. The root is how the rest of the tree is fed, so if you have bitterness, it is feeding the entire person. That means, every part of who you are, will be contaminated by the ROOT feeding the rest of the body.

Unforgiveness always the other person to own you! Bitterness allows the other person to control, and motivate your entire life and decisions.. You can say that they don’t control, or own you, but that’s a lie. When you will not walk in a room with them, then they have controlled your direction in life. They own you!

Bitterness poisons every part of who you are, and everything that you do. It is poison!

I AM BITTER, HOW DO I GET FREE?

Know that is ok to be angry, but to not sin
Ephesians 4:26-27, “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27nor give place to the devil.

Here are some Bible steps to get the root of bitterness out. Know that it will take some work. Digging up any deeply formed root takes fortitude and consistency.

Ask God to forgive you
Ask the person to forgive you

Obey the Word! Take the steps of forgiveness.

Matt. 18 says, if you are offended go to them! Don’t wait for them to come to you.

Pray for them – this starts allowing you to see them as eternally saved or lost.
Bless them – this doesn’t mean you have to be buddies with them, but it frees your heart up.

It does not mean you have to be friends with them, or want to hang out with them, but you do not want them to poison your entire life.
Ephesians 4:31-32, Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

You are destroying yourself and those around you by not forgiving. Choose to forgive, choose to be free from bitterness, choose to love, choose to be like Christ!

For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses. (Matthew 6:14, 15 AMP)
